Sagan is only as powerful as the rule sets it can use. We end up spending a lot of time going over logs from various devices, operating system and software. However, we can't have access to all things, which makes writing rule sets for devices or software we don't have direct access to difficult. This is where the community comes in. If you find yourself writing a rule that you find useful, consider submitting it to us. This way, we can put it in our distributed 'rule sets' and let others benefit from it. If you're not experienced with writing a rule set, but have access to system logs that you think we might be able to use to write various rule sets from, send them our way! This way, we can look over your log entries, determine what might be important enough to write a rule set for. Send your logs or rule sets to:

sagan-submit@softwink.com

Important! When submitting system, device or example logs, it is your responsibility to 'sanitize' the data. If the submitted data have information that you or your organization might deem 'sensitive', it is your responsibility to remove and/or obfuscate it. Softwink, Inc. will not release log data to third parties.
